Walmer Convenience

4 years ago I remember stumbling on these 2 recordings by some dudes in the South Pacific who had discovered UK Garage and fused it with traditional choral music from the islands. They called themselves Pacific Steppaz It was a refreshing mixture that I liked so much I included one of the tracks on a mix I did. These tracks are so #rare that only youtube streams are available:

After that brief but brilliant output, nothing. Time went on and the world largely forgot about Pacific Steppaz. Where they had gone no one knows. Perhaps to fish or raise cattle as is the style of the island. 2 weeks ago however, I get a simple email that read like this:

“After a four year hiatus, John Regis & Thony B the UK Garage loving boys from Vanuatu are back with a new track. Sticking with the tried and tested formula that melted the hearts of Bass Music fans across the globe, who said Choir-Step was dead?”

And so I have the amazing opportunity to bring you the return of the Pacific Steppaz. You need to grab this tune because frankly it could be one of many new tunes from these guys or the only one in 10 years or the last. Check it and grab it:
